Thanks for the reply, Mark. Looking further at the production #’s for 2005 there were only 228 IBM GTO’s with blue interior, 17″ wheels, and auto trans. The # of those with SAP installed at dealership is probably pretty rare. When I purchased the car it had less than 14k miles(has 32k miles now), it came with the original dealer sticker and I’ll try giving them a call.

What kills me these cars are a rarity, the last of their kind. Last of the lineage. And people continue to wreck daily drive and modify to none return. My 06 is a pristine 36,000 mile example. Torrid red black interior 6 speed with 18 wheels and SAP package. 200 miles a year driving. No rain snow ever. They’ll pry the keys from my cold dead hands.

I just read on a CL ad that a 2006 Spice Red/Black manual for sale was 1 of 632 made. I didn’t believe the information, so I Googled it, and your excellent source of information popped up. Well, I guess I have the 2nd one of those 632. Awesome. Thanks.

In reply to Richard JRC. To the best of my knowledge, no 2004 Pontiac GTO's came with the ram air hood. If you purchased the vehicle used, more than likely the previous owner had a 2005-2006 Pontiac GTO Ram Air hood put on to replace the factory hood. I would check the FaceBook GTO groups and GTO Forums to verify this as well. It is very common for the 2004 GTO owners to replace the flat hood for the ram air hood. I did this myself on my 2004 Pontiac GTO.

I have a 2004 yellow jacket 6 speed manual. The hood has scoops. It is not flat and I was told the late year production units got the 05 hoods.? Can anyone verify that and how many? Good luck and thank you

Pontiac has been down too long . The GTO , Trans Am and G8 GXP could compete with Dodge and their performance cars easily. Chevolet Camaro is trying however Dodge is improving every year with choices of performance options for their buyers . While Chevolet is still pushing 6.2 with less HP costing a lot more . Pontiac division can make a come back ! GM make a move or you will loose to Dodge in all areas !
